Who created Advanced Practice Ready?

Advanced Practice Ready was created by Paul Logan, PhD, CRNP — AG-ACNP Program Director at Saint Joseph's University and a practicing cardiology NP at WellSpan Cardiology. How long does it take to complete?

What clinical skills will I learn?

The program teaches essential clinical skills starting from Day 1. Will I learn ECG interpretation?

Yes, ECG interpretation is covered extensively. Lesson 2 (ECG, CXR & Laboratory Essentials) provides systematic training including axis determination, interval analysis, ischemic changes, and arrhythmia recognition. Arrhythmia management is further explored in Lesson 8 (Cardiac Arrhythmias & Device Therapy), which covers atrial fibrillation, bradyarrhythmias, and ventricular tachycardia.

Does the program teach heart failure management?

Yes, heart failure is covered comprehensively in Lesson 7. This lesson teaches the diagnosis and management of heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) including quadruple therapy initiation and titration, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), device therapy indications (ICD and CRT), and advanced heart failure options including mechanical circulatory support, transplant referral, and palliative care integration.

Does CertReady cover the AG-ACNP exam specifically?

Yes. CertReady ACNP is built for both the ANCC Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AGACNP-BC) and the AACN Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (ACNPC-AG) exams. The AACN pass rate dropped from 91% to 74.9% in 2024.
