Paul Logan graduated from Penn's ACNP program in 1994 — one of the first acute care nurse practitioners in the United States, at a time when the specialty was still defining itself. He's practiced cardiology ever since.
His PhD is quantitative — trained by a health economist. That discipline shapes how the question bank is built: not just what topics to cover, but how to structure questions so they actually measure clinical reasoning, not familiarity with buzzwords. Every design choice — how questions are leveled, how rationales are written, how the adaptive engine allocates your practice time — reflects that background.
Thirty years of clinical practice means the questions read like the clinical environment actually is — not a cleaned-up version of it. The edge cases are real. The distractors are the things you'd actually consider. The rationales explain not just why the correct answer is correct, but why each wrong answer fails, clinically and specifically.
